From creating a start-up for anionic surfactants for leather finishing to receiving the prestigious Johnson Medal and subsequently opening his own consultancy in 2018, Venkat has actively engaged in generating and modifying polymers for the consumer and medical device products for over 30 years.

Technical Executive and Research & Development Leader.

With a passion for building and leading motivated teams of scientists and engineers, Venkat has conducted innovative research and project planning throughout his three-decade career. During this time, he has led cross-functional technical teams to accelerate entry to market with range of new products — specifically based on polymers and plastics within orthopaedic and ophthalmic medical device and healthcare industries.

Acknowledged technical leader for strategic thinking and development of technology pipeline.

Widely recognized in industry and academia for scientific engagement and establishing successful partnerships, Venkat is an expert in taking technology from laboratory benchtop to commercialization.

He is also the Principal technical lead in securing regulatory clearance for medical device approvals with FDA (U.S.), BSI (Europe), CFDA (China) and PMDA (Japan) as well as global regulatory bodies, i.e. BSI (Europe), PMDA (Japan), CMDE (China), and ANVISA (Brazil).
